RE: Banbury Quads
Cost is £100 per team, £25 per person. It's at Lakeside Superbowl, Banbury, Oxon.
Starts at 9am and the awards ceremony is at 6:30pm, so it's a long day. Each entrant plays 6 games plus 2 games of baker quads. Here's more about the format:

The tournament is a handicapped combination fours matchplay event. Players will play either 3 games of singles (at doubles pace) or three games of doubles, three games of quads, and each team will play two games of "baker quads" (which will only count towards the overall team score). Players will declare a "bowler number" before the tournament that will denote their position in the baker quads (which will be played in the order 12341234123412341234), with players 2 and 4 playing doubles, and 1 and 3 singles.
The top four teams from the qualifying rounds will play in a four team, single game round-robin final at quads pace.

If you don't know what baker means, it's where player 1 bowls frame 1, player 2 bowls frame 2, and so on, in the same game.
This is a handicap competition so you all have a chance of doing well and are all encouraged to enter.
The closing date is 24th Jan. If you would like to enter please email me asap. I would preferably like the money before I send in the entries. If you know who you would like to bowl with let me know, otherwise I'll team people up.

My car is out of action until at least Monday due to a broken alternator-are there enough cars going, if we are going that is, to get there on Sunday?

RE: Banbury Quads
hi Mark,

yeah I'd suggest what Daniel said - ask Neil if he can drive. Rob is also driving I think and taking his team but he wouldn't be able to also take both you and Neil.
